This pin represents a few things...
This is the base leg of our National "Certified Patriotism" effort. The "Certified Patriotism" effort is going to be the engine that allows Prefer America to promote jobs, unity, security, and citizenship. Citizen Certification will not only assist us by generating badly needed funds, but will gain this effort the credibility needed to get corporate and media cooperation. When David Allen Scholl speaks on Prefer America Radio and states that there are tens of thousands of Americans who don't want to send our jobs to China or tolerate the Crips, Skinhead gangs, MS-13, or pedophiles any longer, he's just a bald guy with an attitude. When he states that Americans of all different walks of life, political affiliation, ethnic, racial, or religious differences standing in solidarity for national success is the medicine for what ails us - and 10,000 citizens agree, they'll listen.
It Represents Unity. The founder of Prefer America (David Allen) is convinced that though the problems facing our nation are many, the solution is simple; we need to stand together, in much the way our grandparents did. This isn't to say that we won't face natural disasters or terrorist attack again, rather to say that if we don't stand together with integrity, courage, and unity, that we will be able to fix nothing. Crime will get worse, economic autonomy will be conceded, our politicians will continue to serve themselves, border security will continue to be a policy question as opposed to a critical function of our national autonomy, and the next time we are badly hit, and we will, fingers will point, panic will ensue, and we will not go on with our daily activity - as we must. We will either stand together, for each other, or we will cease to be the nation we were meant to be.
Where did the idea come from? On September the 11th 2002, David was standing on a corner in Yuma AZ giving out Red, White, and Blue ribbons to passers-by to commemorate the day and promote unity. He considered giving out US flag lapel pins, but he could neither afford it nor find pins that weren't made in China. By the time he was out of ribbons, he considered that there had to be a better symbol to promote the United States and unity of her citizens. Soon, the image of the Ring of America lapel pin was born, RingOfAmerica.com was created, and he went about the business of getting the pin produced. It was not easy finding a manufacturer who made pins in the U.S., but he eventually found "Delta Spark" who made the pins in 2002, and makes them today in San Antonio. When Prefer America Inc. was created, there was no question that this symbol of American unity would become the logo for the company. By the end of 2008, you'll see this logo across America; on corporate letterhead, on city banners, on web sites, and on products that are manufactured in America. You will also see this pin on thousands of Americans, and it all starts today, with you.
As we go forward, you'll know that it began with you; please certify your patriotism today.
